Director of Football Development unveiled
Seasiders appoint John Coupe
Felixstowe & Walton United FC are delighted to announce the appointment of John Coupe as Director of Football Development.
John has spent 25 years in youth development, including 12 years with Ipswich Town Academy and will combine the new position with his existing role as Academy coach.
The aim of the new role is to oversee the pathways through Juniors, Academy, U18's and U23's to the First Team by instilling a culture of development with a winning mentality, putting players in the right areas at the right time, bringing a consistent culture of coaching and ethos of everyone playing the same way. John will also be working closely with Stuart Boardley and the management team.
Chris Daynes- Joint Chairman at the Seasiders welcomed John to the position. "We've been so impressed with the work John has done with the Academy and we feel this appointment is the missing puzzle piece in creating real pathways for local talent to go on and represent the club at senior level. The club will give every player coming through the system the very best opportunity of progressing through to the senior sides, and it's up to each player to reach that goal with hard work, ability and commitment.
