Rhys Henry leaves First Team squad
Rhys Henry leaves First team role
Rhys Henry has left the first team squad at the Goldstar Ground after two successful periods at the club. Rhys has seen his chances of match action limited of late due to the size of the squad and with several other players returning from illness and injury it was felt that the game time he was likely to see would be further reduced. Seasiders Joint Chairman Chris Daynes said. “Although Rhys’s first team opportunities have proven to be limited, his contribution across the club is, and will continue to be immeasurable. He will continue to play a very active role in his position as Head of Academy and will work closely with the senior management on the club player pathways scheme. From a personal perspective, Rhys is one of the nicest people I know and I am delighted to be able to continue working with him, but also wish him well in playing at the highest level he possibly can at another club”. Manager Stuart Boardley added. “Rhys has been a dream to work with. His professionalism, commitment and drive to be the best he can be are second to none and we hope his next move brings him the regular starting spot that he deserves”.
