Aren Howell has decided to step down as Reserve team manager with immediate effect to focus on the under 18’s.

The club will be looking to replace him as soon as possible in this role and thank Aren for what he has done for the Reserves and bringing some silverware to the club last season. Alex Egelton will assume a caretaker role for the time being until an appointment is made.

Speaking about Aren Howell’s decision to resign as Reserve Team Manager, Director of Football Tony Barnes said,

“ My sincere thanks for all the good work Aren Howell has done whilst managing the Reserves for Felixstowe & Walton United. This season has been very difficult with the step up to The Thurlow Nunn league and I fully appreciate Aren’s frustration as the club have not been in a position to help financially. Hopefully someone with fresh ideas and a few new contacts may give us the boost we need.

It’s great to see Aren continuing to look after the under 18’s from where he will no doubt continue pushing youngsters through to the Reserves and First team.”
