Craig Chidlow joins Reserves Management Team
Craig Chidlow joins The Reserve Team Management structure
The club was delighted to announce on Friday the 22ndFebruary that Craig Chidlow has joined the management set up with The Reserves working Jointly with Alex Egelton. Carl Parsley will also remain part of the team.
Craig has most recently been working with the Felixstowe Under 15s in The Eastern Junior Alliance and believes, “There is some real quality coming through there so the future looks good.” Bringing him into the club early is a real bonus as he brings with him some excellent coaching qualifications and a great record in youth football, seeing this as an ideal opportunity to become a major part of the club.
Speaking earlier, Craig said, “I’m looking forward to working with Alex and the talented young players that we clearly have at the club, a lot of who I already know having recently finished coaching at U16 eighteen months ago. I've been coaching youth teams at Trimley since 1999 and for 8 of those years I coached 2 teams at the weekends, so you could say I've coached youth teams for 28 years.”
Alex Egelton told us how much he is looking forward to working with Craig, “I’m really looking forward to becoming joint managers with Craig who is very well known for some great work within local youth football and has helped produce talent which has played and is currently playing at a decent level. The reserves have always been about helping develop younger players from the Under 18’s into the first team and I personally believe the addition of Craig to the senior set-up will only enhance this. I’m honoured and privileged to be named as part of a joint manager set up within a senior side at this great club and look forward to what the future brings”
Remember, the reserves are working very hard to move away from the bottom of The Thurlow Nunn League Division One and welcome all the support they can get. If you’re unable to follow the first team away, Alex, Craig and Carl will always welcome you to The Goldstar Ground to what is likely to become an exciting end to the 2018/19 season.
