Fxt & Walton Utd U14 Red 1 v 2 Bacton Utd 89 U14
Final game of the season against second place Bacton and it did not go to script!
With the championship already wrapped up, perhaps The Seasiders can be forgiven for an under par performance, but we must also give credit to Bacton for a very solid display that, but for the woodwork, might have given them a greater margin of victory.
Bacton scored first, from a loose ball in our 6 yard box following a corner, and turned around for the second half leading 1-0.
Jake succumbed to his long standing injury and Coaches Jason and Simon tinkered with the line-up to try and give us fresh impetus for the second half.
Three minutes in, Harry, now at right back, played a super ball down the right to Matt, who produced a good near post cross where Nartey deftly flicked in.
1-1.
Unfortunately, Bacton responded, following a Seasiders defensive lapse, and we were behind again. 1-2.
There was no lack of effort from the boys, but It just wasn’t their day.
F.T. 1-2
MOM went to captain Seb, who, once again, led by example.
It has been a great season for the team, coaches & supporters, League Champions and a Cup Final still to come on 11/5.
Our team sponsors UKCS Limited have confirmed their continued support for next season, we are most grateful.
We still seek an additional sponsor for our training tops, that double as the away ‘change’ kit.
If anyone reading this can help, we would be most appreciative.
Without YOU, there isn’t an US.
