New Football Club structure & Membership
At an EGM held on 21st October 2018 it was agreed that the 2 separate entities, Felixstowe & Walton United FC (the football section of the club) and Felixstowe & Walton United Community Social Club Ltd (the facilities section of the club) would merge to form a single new entity.
The new entity launches at the start of the clubs financial year on Saturday 1st June and is known simply as Felixstowe & Walton United Football Club Ltd.
The Club remains a members club, and membership opens for the 2019/20 season on 1st June. Full details on how to join up as a Member can be found HERE
A founding Committee has been installed to operate and administer the Club
> Chairman- Andy Wilding
> Secretary- Mike Titchener (fixture secretary to work in conjunction with Mike)
> Treasurer- Gary Hammond
> Media- Barry Grossmith (media team to work in conjunction with Barry)
> Facilities- Chris Daynes (to include commercial activities)
> Membership Secretary- Stuart Daynes
> Football Liaison officer (Seniors)- Phil Barber
> Football Liaison officer (Juniors)- Tam Ward
This founding committee is to remain in situ until the end of September, to allow time for the Membership to develop.
It is then intended for nominees to be put forward for portfolio roles (as above and more if they should decide) to form the committee of Felixstowe & Walton United Football Club Ltd (by Guarantee). Where there is more than one nominee for a single portfolio role, a ballot will take place to vote in the nominee. Any person may nominate him/herself which includes those shown above. Only Members will be eligible to be nominated, or take part in any voting process.
Following the election of the new committee, that committee shall then elect a board of directors to Govern and administer the business of the limited company.
The Football Club in it current format, shall conclude at the Football Club AGM taking place at the clubhouse on 29th June.
