Updated Information About The Media Team
Read the Details Of The Media Team Responsibilities
We’re really pleased to say that Lucy Sheehan has joined the media team and will bring invaluable help in a number of areas (see Media Team Responsibilities). At the same time, Andy Wilding and Mike Titchener will also be picking up responsibility for our presence on Felixstowe Radio and The Felixstowe Flyer respectively.
Over the past 15 months there have been a number of changes at the club in relation to the media side of things. For clarity’s sake we have set out below the responsibilities each person has and we hope this will help you know who to direct your enquiries to.
The general rule of thumb is to contact the person you wish to talk to via:

It’s important to understand that the media team rarely writes the stories. By this, we mean it’s the first team, reserves, under 18s and juniors who create the stories and we simply do our best to provide coverage. Because most of us attend all first team games, home and away, we rely on match reports and news stories outside of the first team to be sent to us by whoever may have a story to share. This can be coaches, players, fans and so on.
We’re grateful for the work Mark Gray is currently offering with regard to news about the juniors. Ideally we would like people to write their stories, proofread them and forward to the media team. In exceptional circumstance, and time permitting, we may be able to write a story based on news received. In such cases we would need as much information as possible.

Media Team Responsibilities
Carole Robinson:
Carole is responsible for Seasiders TV and Football Web Pages Live. As she updates scores, substitutions etc., tweets are automatically generated allowing you to keep up to date with events on match day. The easiest way, however, is to log on to Football Web Pages Live, which gives all scores live for all the matches you might be interested in. (https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/isthmian-football-league-north-division). If Carole can’t attend any game where she is responsible for Football Web Pages (i.e. all home games), Phil Barber will be responsible in her absence.
Barry Grossmith:
Barry is responsible for writing match reports for the website and the press. Website match reports can be found under Seniors/ Reports. He also writes Non-League Notes which appears in the EADT on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. The online version of The EADT is available sooner.
Barry also writes the match preview, which comes out Saturday mornings in the press and in the EADT online version earlier. He will write ad hoc articles about news related to the club for the website and the press and promote these via twitter.
Barry will liaise with Carole for Seasiders TV and Phil Blundell who films our matches which normally go on the website around late Tuesday or Wednesday.
He will also monitor the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. email account together with others.
Mark Owen:
Mark will be the sole gatekeeper for the club website, maintaining, supporting and updating as necessary. He will also produce the club magazine/programme, which will appear in an online version from the start of next season. Stuart, Chris and Lucy will liaise with others to provide the necessary material Mark needs for this.
He will post ad hoc on Twitter and Facebook if and when necessary as well as monitoring the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. email accounts.
Stuart Daynes:
Stuart will promote the club’s activities (200 club, competitions etc.) via Facebook and Twitter as well as adding, when possible, short clips of match footage to Facebook from games.
He will also be the main contact person for the booking of coach travel to away games, take overall responsibility for the Reserves online matchday programme in collaboration with Mark and try to fill in any media responsibility gaps on an ad hoc basis as required.
Lucy Sheehan:
Lucy will receive text to go into first team programme, proofread and forward to Mark. She will also boost coverage on Facebook for various events and suggest further ideas for raising the profile of the club via Social Media. Lucy will advise on advertising and liaise with others at the club on advertising, sponsorship and marketing.
Chris Daynes:
